About us
Stand Up to Climate Change was created to celebrate World Environment Day - a United Nations global celebration that takes place every year on 5 June. In England and Wales the Environment Agency has been promoting the campaign since 2004. It has been so popular that we decided to keep it running for more people to enjoy.
For 2008 the international theme is CO2 Kick the Habit - towards a low carbon economy. Here in England and Wales we're focussing on how we'll get ready for the effects of climate change - it's time for a new routine.
